Challenge
The crypto exchange team works fully remotely across different countries. The company has many departments that rarely interact with each other.
Previous in-house online events had a low level of engagement: part of the team did not join, while many of those who did remained passive.
The task was to create a New Year online event without corporate stiffness, focused on fun, pace, and interaction. It was important to attract as many participants as possible, involve even passive employees, and create the feeling of a live event online.

Concept
The core format was a meme quiz combining widely recognizable memes with a custom block about the company itself. Together with HR and the team, we collected internal jokes and stories and integrated them into the game.
We also created a crypto-themed block where memes were built around market language.
The format works because it fits the culture of digital teams: fast, interactive, and free from unnecessary formality. The team-based mechanics encourage everyone to take part, while personalization creates a familiar, insider atmosphere.

Preparation
The event was streamed from a studio with an on-camera host, professional lighting, and live direction. Virtual screens, interactive blocks, and dynamic scenes were used throughout the event.
The event opened with an intro video and interactive warm-up. The main part was a quiz with several rounds: memes, internal jokes, and crypto-related topics.
Participants worked in teams, which increased involvement. The finale included the results announcement and certificate awards.
